Staff at the Winston Scott Polyclinic walked off the job citing environmental challenges at the Jemmotts Layne facility. Ministry of Health, NUPW, and Unity Workers Union are currently in a meeting to address concerns.

Two men pleaded guilty to a 14-court indictment involving firearms, ammunition, and drugs. They were sentenced to time served for the matter on March 20, 2018.
