In a recent court case, DaCosta Walcott received a suspended 33-month sentence for indecent assault. This decision by Justice Wanda Blair included a $5,000 compensation order in 12 months.
With the aid of a stick and assistance from a helper, DaCosta Walcott made his way to the dock of the No. 4A Supreme Court on Wednesday afternoon to learn his fate.
The 74-year-old man, of Prerogative, St George, had been found guilty last year of indecently assaulting an eight-year-old boy on July 31, 2017.
Justice Wanda Blair sentenced him to 33 months behind bars, but suspended it for three years. She also ordered him to pay $5 000 in compensation in 12 months. (SD)
