Barbadians face the aftermath of cannabis corruption, as Afrikan Heritage Foundation's Paul "Ras Simba" Rock calls for a reevaluation of national policies to address rising crime and moral decay.
Barbadians are now suffering the aftereffects of cannabis corruption, says the head of the Afrikan Heritage Foundation Paul “Ras Simba” Rock.
While he is not convinced that the mooted special crime unit would stem the rise in serious crimes, he believes more must be done to rethink the national cannabis policy, tackle the judicial system, stop lewd lyrical content and create morally healthy environments to repair the country’s moral compass.
“When looking at the rise in violence, we must look at the Government’s national cannabis policy. With its attempted eradication of regional cannabis and the upgraded fight against locally-grown cannabis effectively clearing the way for the mass illegal importation of North American cannabis, Barbadians are now suffering the after effects of cannabis corruption mentality and economically,” Rock said in a statement.
