Self-confessed Manslayers Return to No. 2 Supreme Court Next Week

Keenon Tristan Jason Chase and Michael Shane Olijuan James, charged with unlawfully killing a taxi driver, will return to the No. 2 Supreme Court next week for further proceedings.
Self-confessed manslayers Keenon Tristan Jason Chase and Michael Shane Olijuan James return to the No. 2 Supreme Court next week.
Chase, of King William Street, The City, and James of Ashby Alley, Nelson Street, The City, had pleaded guilty to unlawfully killing Dwayne Andre Forde, a route taxi driver, formerly of Ruby Park, St Philip, on May 6, 2018. They were originally arraigned with murdering Forde on the same date and had been scheduled to go on trial when they changed their pleas.
James was represented by King’s Counsel Michael Lashley and attorney Simon Clarke, while Chase was represented by attorney Safiya Moore.
Principal State Counsel Oliver Thomas and State Counsel Dr Zoe King appeared for the prosecution.
Justice Randall Worrell adjourned the matter until February 21. (HLE)
