Unemployed man admits to breaking into five businesses due to drug addiction, apologizes to owners. Pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol, electronics, and cash from a bar in St Michael.
An unemployed man blamed a drug habit for his first foray into crime that saw him breaking into five businesses in a two-week span.
“I have a drug addiction and I would like some help,” Fidel Martino Germaine Parris told the District “A” Traffic Court yesterday.
“I apologised to the owners of the places,” he added.
Parris, 34, of Butlers Avenue, Spooners Hill, St Michael, had just pleaded guilty to entering Adam’s Rum Bar, on July 21, and stealing 23 bottles of vodka and two bottles of brandy belonging to the bar, and entering the same establishment on July 26 and stealing two television boxes, a cellphone, two bottles of brandy, three bottles of vodka, two bottles of whiskey, seven bottles of wine, one bottle of tequila and $170.
