Two St Michael men were acquitted of 2017 assault charges in the No. 3A Supreme Court.
Anthony Alexander Bonnett of Eagle Hall and Brian Romero Lowe of Hothersal Turning were found not guilty of causing serious bodily harm to Peter St John with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do some serious bodily harm to him, on May 6, 2017.
The nine-member jury also believed that they were not guilty of the lesser count of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting serious bodily harm to St John.
Principal State Counsel Rudolph Burnett and State Counsel Anastacia McMeo-Boyce prosecuted the matter.
Lowe’s legal counsel was Simon Clarke while Bonnett was represented by attorneys Ken Mason and Dr Lenda Blackman.
Justice Anthony Blackman, who presided over the matter, thanked the jury and told the men they were free to go.
