Barbados recorded its 10th road fatality for the year on Wednesday, following an accident involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. The accident occurred along Bromefield Main Road, St Lucy around 6:25 a.m.
The deceased has been identified as 64-year-old George Broomes of Bromefield, St Lucy.
Inspector Rodney Inniss, Communications & Public Affairs Officer at The Barbados Police Service, said Broomes, was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private motor vehicle, where he was pronounced dead while receiving medical treatment.
Investigations continue.
