Three Surinamese nationals face charges related to cocaine possession and trafficking, with court appearances scheduled following police seizures of significant quantities of the drug.

Police have charged three Surinamese nationals in separate cocaine-related cases linked to May 23.

Police say 33-year-old Farino Revelino Bergmans was charged with possession, trafficking, intent to supply and importation of cocaine after allegedly being found with 1.2 kilograms of the drug, with an estimated street value of $60,000.
He appeared in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Saturday, May 30, where he was not required to plead and was remanded to Dodds Prison. He is scheduled to reappear in court on June 4.
In a second case, 41-year-old Celita Saskia Aloewanai was charged with similar offences after police allegedly found 1.1 kilograms of cocaine valued at $55,000. She is due to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on June 1.
In the third matter, 21-year-old Kylie Bretni Banga was also charged after police reportedly seized 1 kilogram of cocaine with an estimated street value of $50,000. She is also scheduled to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on June 1.
All three matters remain before the courts.
