A married couple is facing accusations of assaulting a National Conservation Commission ranger. One spouse denies the assault while the other confessed to the incident. The couple appeared in court.
A married couple have been accused of assaulting a National Conservation Commission ranger.
While Cherian Margaret Judy Bellamy, 41, denied assaulting Neil Bourne on January 27, her husband John-George Francis Bellamy, 41, confessed to unlawfully and maliciously assaulting him on the same date.
The Bellamys, of Block 1A Meadow Road, Wildey, St Michael, appeared in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court last Friday.
Prosecutor Station Sergeant Wendell Greenidge told the court the couple operate a kiosk at Oistins Bay Garden, Christ Church, where Bourne is attached. On January 27, they showed up to deliver items to their kiosk around 7:30 p.m. (SD)
