Virgin Atlantic plans to use Barbados as a hub for expanding into other Caribbean destinations. The airline has been increasing its services to Barbados and sees it as a strategic regional hub. The expansion is part of Virgin Atlantic's strategy to strengthen its presence in the Caribbean market.
The Barbados Meteorological Services is monitoring a tropical wave near 10N 38W, moving west to west-northwestward across the central Atlantic. Environmental conditions are favorable for slow development.
"The High Courts will be temporarily closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to a Special Sitting of the Supreme Court of Barbados. Parking restrictions and guidance will be in effect."
The body of a mature male was discovered in the water at Brownes beach, St Michael. Police are investigating after the body was found by beachgoers.
