THE NATIONAL UNION of Public Workers (NUPW) is adding its voice to those calling for greater attention to workplace health and safety following the death of a 51-year-old construction worker.
General secretary Richard Green said proper procedures must be followed.
“The NUPW is again calling for greater scrutiny of employers regarding occupational safety and health, especially at this time when we recognise workers’ lives can be threatened by negligence in the workspace,” he said. (CA)
