Barbados Water Authority Advises Customers to Store Water for Weather Emergency Preparations
Prepare for inclement weather by storing water in clean containers. Remember to have disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer on hand. Contact BWA for urgent water issues post-storm. Stay safe.
As the island prepares for a deterioration in weather associated with the system currently being monitored by the Barbados Meteorological Services, the Barbados Water Authority reminds customers who are impacted periodically by discoloured water issues that it is important to store water.
Remember that the recommended amount is five gallons per person per day for at least five days. Water should be stored in clean, covered containers.
In addition to storing water, it is always helpful to have disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer accessible to help keep yourself and your surroundings sanitary.
