Prime Minister and Education Minister Mark Start of School Year in Corporate Area with Students and Cabinet Ministers

Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Education Minister Fayval Williams join students on the first day of school in the Corporate Area, accompanied by other officials, taking a JUTC bus to Jamaica College.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Education Minister Fayval Williams were among those sending students off to school in the Corporate Area on the first day of the new academic year on Monday.
Holness; Minister of Science, Energy, Telecommunications and Transport, Daryl Vaz; and Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister, Dana Morris Dixon, also took a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus from the Half-Way Tree Transport Centre and travelled along Hope Road with students to the bus stop at Jamaica College.
The route is also taken by students from Mona and Papine high schools.
Students were able to interact with the Cabinet ministers who offered them their best wishes for the 2024/25 academic year.
Scores of parents in the capital also accompanied their children during the commute to schools for introductions, devotions and classes. (Source – Jamaica Gleaner)
