Two schools that were closed last Friday to allow for the removal of beehives on or near to the school properties, reopened today.
The Ministry of Education said a beekeeper removed hives from the A. Dacosta Edwards Primary School, and from a property near Springer Memorial School.
“The Ministry of Education welcomes students back to their respective schools, and thanks the beekeeper for their swift response in making our school environment more comfortable for students, teachers and staff,” the ministry said in a brief statement.
