Harte sets sights on A-Licence
August 6, 2023
Marlon Harte, a junior football coach from Barbados, has started his journey to becoming an A-Licensed coach through the TTFA, following in the footsteps of other Bajan coaches.
Junior football coach Marlon Harte has officially commenced his journey to becoming an A-Licensed coach through the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA).
He is another example of Barbadian coaches making strides in advancing their coaching education and is the third Bajan coach to embark on the course this year after fellow junior coach, Renaldo “Peewee” Gilkes and women’s head coach, Mario Harte commenced their course in early January.
Marlon, a coach with over ten years’ experience, is currently the head coach of Combermere School where he has enjoyed tremendous success with the Waterford lads in the Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 divisions.
He kick-started his career at Mavericks Football Club and also spent time at Premier League side, Notre Dame as well as the national boys’ Under-15 team. The course which began on July 23, was facilitated by the TTFA with technical director, Anton Corneal as lead instructor. Representatives from Concacaf were also present and observed the course as they are hopeful of adopting the TTFA’s course as their own A-Licence. (NM)
