CCC made a strong start in their regional match against Barbados, with Evelyn scoring a half-century. Forde's bowling and Holder's return added to the action.
Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) have enjoyed a tidy start to Day One of their regional four-day first-class match against Barbados at Kensington Oval.
Having won the toss and elected to bat first, CCC are 142-3 with opening batman Damel Evelyn registering his third half-century this season.
Evelyn and his partner Johann Jeremiah negotiated the opening hour astutely before the latter feathered a cut through to wicketkeeper Leniko Boucher for 19 runs off the bowling of Matthew Forde who is returning to the side.
Forde was in the action again when he took a tidy catch to remove Kamil Pooran for a run a ball 11 and gift the returning Jason Holder a wicket of his own. Shaqkere Parris fell on the stroke of lunch for a boundary-filled knock worth 21 runs when he edged a Roston Chase off-break to slip.
