C.O. Williams Rangers overcame BPA Police Boys & Girls Club as the Barbados Netball Association League season opened in Diamond Division action at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus court on Wednesday.
The fixture marked the start of the Barbados Netball Association season.
Rangers prevailed 32-26, after leading 10-8, 19-12 and 23-21.
Nikita Payne converted 22 of her 30 attempts and Destinee Brewster ten of 14, while for Police Boys & Girls Club, Ginae Austin netted 22 of 33 and Makel Alleyne four of 12.
In the Ruby A Division, UWI Blackbirds dismantled Steve’s Building Works 42-3.
Mekada Boxill-Drakes led the way with 16 of 28 shooting, while Rennicha Prescod converted 13 of 24 and Carla Boyce 13 of 18.
Blackbirds led 6-1 at the end of the opening quarter, 19-2 at half time and 30-3 at the end of the third interval.
