Ministry of Health's Vector Control Unit Conducts Fogging to Control Mosquito Population in St. Lucy, St Peter, St George, and St Michael

The Ministry of Health and Wellness' Vector Control Unit will be fogging communities in St. Lucy, St. Peter, St. George, and St. Michael this week. Fogging takes place daily from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Communities in St. Lucy, St Peter, St George, and St Michael are earmarked to be fogged this week by the team from the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Vector Control Unit.
Districts in St Lucy, including Bromefield, Maycocks Terrace, Friendly Hall, Husbands Road, and Harrisons, will be visited by the Unit on Monday, November 13.
The next day, Tuesday, November 14, the following areas in St Peter will be sprayed – Heywoods Development and Golden Mile.
On Wednesday, November 15, the team will journey to St George and fog Waverley Cot Road, Ellerton Gardens, Waverley Cot, and surrounding areas.
The Unit will wrap up fogging activities in St George on Thursday, November 16, by spraying Ellerton Road, Walker Road, Ellerton, Blenman Road, Sargeant Road, and neighbouring districts.
Fogging for the week will conclude on Friday, November 17, in St Michael, in Free Hill with avenues, Rock Road, Connell Road, Free Hill Crescent, and environs.
Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.
Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to affected communities as soon as possible. (PR)
