The Barbados Meteorological Services has discontinued the flash flood watch that was issued earlier for Barbados, saying the threat of flooding has diminished.
In a statement issued this morning, the Met Services said the potential for flooding due to excessive rainfall had decreased and the watch was therefore lifted with immediate effect.
Despite the improvement, forecasters said periods of cloudiness and brief showers are still likely across the island today and into tomorrow.
The discontinuation notice was issued at 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, and is the final statement on the event. (BMS)
