Retired Vehicle Examiner on Bail, Faces Charges of Misconduct in Public Office

Retired vehicle examiner Charles Winston Ramsay faces multiple charges related to misconduct in public office in 2019, including issuing fraudulent Vehicle Examiners Certificates. Currently on bail.
A retired vehicle examiner is now on bail after he appeared on a number of charges relating to misconduct in public office in 2019.
Charles Winston Ramsay appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
The 68-year-old of Mount Hillaby, St Thomas, was not required to plead to being a public officer acting as a vehicle examiner, without reasonable excuse or jurisdiction, he wilfully misconducted himself – to wit issued or caused to be issued a Vehicle Examiners Certificate in respect of public service vehicle B24 which tended to show that he had examined the vehicle, on July 29, 2019, to such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public trust in office of the Vehicle Examiner.
