A flash flood watch is in effect for Barbados.
A flash flood watch is issued when heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) could result in flash flooding within the watch area, but it does not mean that flooding will occur.
A surface to mid-level trough extending from Tropical Storm Philippe is inducing unstable conditions across the island. As a result, cloudy to overcast skies will be accompanied by scattered moderate to heavy showers, with possible accumulations of 25mm to 75mm (1- 3 inches).
This alert is scheduled to be terminated at 6p.m., but may be done sooner, if conditions warrant.(PR/SAT)
