Strong Interest in Crop Over 2026 Power and Sweet Soca Competitions

The National Cultural Foundation (NCF) announced that 92 performers have registered for the Power Soca competition, while 134 entries have been received for Sweet Soca.

Several established names are among the entrants, including Lil Rick, Peter Ram, King Bubba Mashup, Leadpipe, Marzville, Hypasounds, Jagwa De Champ, Sanctuary Vibez, Yannick Hooper and Yung Iley.

The Sweet Soca field also features veterans and crowd favourites such as Mighty Grynner, Mac Fingall, Fadda Fox, Peter Ram and Lil Rick, alongside a number of emerging performers seeking a breakthrough Crop Over season.

Among the Power Soca registrants are former finalists and popular entertainers including Mole De Chief, Nikita, Leadpipe & Saddis, reigning monarch Mikey Mercer, Shaquille GFG and Brucelee Almighty.

The large registration numbers signal strong interest in this year’s competition and set the stage for intense preliminary judging as artistes vie for places in the semifinals and finals.

The NCF released the registrant lists on Monday as preparations continue for the 2026 Crop Over season.
