Police at Central Station are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred around 5:45 p.m. on Monday, at the junction of Nelson Street and Fairchild Street in Bridgetown, St Michael.
Investigators say a dispute between a man and a woman escalated, resulting in the female sustaining multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she is receiving medical treatment.
Police confirmed that a suspect is in custody assisting with investigations.
