Government is still pushing its crime prevention strategies and offering support to the Police Service.
Minister of State in the Attorney General’s Office with responsibility for Crime Prevention, Corey Lane, gave that assurance while expressing concern about violence in schools.
“I think everyone is concerned . . . . These are deep-rooted issues that we have to continue to work on regardless [of] if there are spikes or not. We have to remain focused and continue to press and have initiatives to prevent, in the first place, and not treat,” he said.
